A trio of award shortlistings

We’re delighted to have had three projects of ours shortlisted for awards over the past month.

Casabella di Como has been nominated in the best ‘Interior Design’ category as part of the Dezeen Awards, one of the world’s biggest architecture and design platforms. The recently completed villa is housed within an existing concrete shell, with a local material palette of marble and oak elevating the original gnarled structure above the shores of Lake Como. The scheme was adorned with fabric and hand-selected furniture, such as ethereal wool curtains, Vitra dining chairs and a Develius &Tradition sofa.

Elsewhere, the Wool Hall made the shortlist of the British Home Awards, for ‘Home Transformation of the Year’. The project is indicative of adaptive reuse, taking a Grade II listed 16th century hall and retrofitting it into a family home with adjacent recording studio. An uninspired 1980’s extension was also altered, with courtyard gardens inserted into the plan to allow for cross-ventilation and a better relationship to the rural Somerset setting.

Finally, our own website is up for an Archiboo Award, which champions the best of how architecture is communicated globally. We worked closely with graphic design agency ‘A Common Purpose’ to craft our new website and graphic identity, so we’re delighted with this recognition following a thoroughly enjoyable collaboration.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed for the winner announcements over the next couple of months!
