This month we celebrate the opening of our Swiss studio in Andermatt.

Tuckey Design Studio has been at the forefront of transforming existing buildings and sustainable new build construction for 25 years. This spring marks a significant milestone for the practice as we announce our presence in Switzerland.

This expansion strengthens our connections and collaborations in mainland Europe, where the practice has long been working.

In commemoration, we have been busy curating an exhibition and publication exploring our continental European work through models, illustrations and photography that will be presented at the Nossenhaus, Andermatt, on March 20th. Completed and ongoing projects in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Norway are represented, from cultural venues in the arctic circle to cork-clad retreats in the foothills of Piedmont.

It’s fitting that we celebrate in one of our first projects in mainland Europe, the 400-year-old Nossenhaus (pictured), which has been restored and reimagined as a wine bar, workspaces and apartments. The Nossenhaus encapsulates our ethos of elevating existing fabric through contemporary intervention, respecting local vernacular and materiality.
