Reflecting on a milestone 2024

As we welcome in 2025 with open arms, we reflect on a significant year full of celebration, surprise and change.

In March we announced a new name and visual identity for the studio in recognition of the many hands and voices that contribute to our projects. This refreshed mark and name coincided with an accompanying website that better reflects our process, portfolio and ethos.

We were delighted to see our Rammed Earth House, Acland Burghley School interiors and Yorkshire family home all complete, with new commissions in Scotland, Switzerland, Norway and our first in the Unites States keeping our team busy.

Elsewhere, Building on the Built events, snowy site visits, clay workshops, highland hikes, award wins, 6 new team members and one baby born have all contributed to an unforgettable 12 months for our studio.

AJ Retrofit and Wood Award wins for Old Chapel and Bough Terrace, respectively, bracketed a private view exhibition at our London studio marking our 25th birthday.

Building on the Built continues to garner an enthusiastic following, with packed audiences welcoming Martin Rauch and Victoria Jessen-Pike to discuss rammed earth and urban regeneration. Keep an eye on our social channels for an exciting guest schedule to be announced in the coming weeks.

Here’s to more joy in 2025!
